Introduction to Wigan Athletic FC.

Wigan Athletic was formed in 1932 after the demise off Wigan Boro and other Wigan football teams. After Spending several years in the Conference league they finally made the promised land off the English Football League in 1979 after numerous attempts to get into the League. 25 years later and the club are still going stronger and stronger and reside in the 1st Division and looking to aim at the Premiership, thanks to the owner Dave Whelan.
